For over 20 years Refuser Solidarity Network, have supported Israeli refusers (conscientious objectors) and anti-occupation resisters. This is an important proposal. Non-cooperation with war is an age-old tactic, and so effective that non-cooperators have been persecuted.
However, slavery is still with us: the categories of who can be enslaved, and how, have shifted.
While eradication may be unrealistic, what is really important is shifting the scale: radically decreasing the percentage of people and communities destroyed by engaging in and suffering from acts of war. This has been achieved again and again in the cycles of history.
