We are sorry to report that John Eskow died on June 17, 2024, at the age of 74.
John loved deeply and was deeply loved––as a father, brother, relative, and friend. He brought joy and enrichment to many people through his screenwriting, his music, his humor, and his prose. His enthusiasm for the world, his sense of justice, his loyalty, and his love were extraordinary. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter Gena, his ex-wife Alison, brothers Gary and Richard, and his beloved niece, nephews, and grandnephews.
RIP, John. Condolences to you Richard and all your family.
I know this is your obituary because I remember the names of your brothers and your daughter. You were like one of my best friends. I really enjoyed your company and we laughed and laughed , you got all my jokes! I really enjoyed doing errands for you like the grocery shopping and the laundry, but not only that I didn’t just work for you. You were such a great friend. I could always count on you when I needed you. I cannot believe that you passed. One day I will see you again in heaven oh, by the way, I really don’t recognize that picture of you. I was so sad when I heard that you died in Kingston at that apartment.! I didn’t get to tell you that I got married and I had a whole bunch of news to tell you, but it will have to wait. 😞
