Will Rogers putatively said 'history is just one damn thing after another.' Rest assured, this planet & its herrenfolk will be radically different in 2126 CE, thanx to syntelligence, neuro-informatics, genegineering, metamaterials, Basa Luna, Colonia Martialis & maybe even the prospect of spacetime compression per Mike Alcubierre. It's good to read something optimistic, as so much that is in the news is quite the opposite. Some are so unrelenting grim and doomsday predicting that it gets very hard, definitely unpleasant, to read them sometimes. Thank you.
I've got this new idea, and I am not sure it makes sense, much less would be helpful, but I'm eager to get some feed back. I am not sure that we have ever clarified what exactly we are dealing with. Zionism began among Christian groups in 16th century England. In the mid-18th century it was turned into a political project by a group who were primarily secular, and colonialist. By taking on the cloak and nomenclature of the pre-existing term, ‘Zionism,’ it allowed them to ally with Christian Zionists, while holding none of their beliefs.
Maybe we shouldn't let them get away with this any more. The people who originated the political Zionist project were Ashkenazi nationalists. If we were to look at this issue through that lens, perhaps it might lead to a clearer perspective. It might even act as a wedge between this colonial project and Christian Zionists. After all, if these are usurpers then they are not the ones supposed to be returning to Zion. That undermines the entire project, as the Messiah, of both Christian and Judiasm, is unlikely to be persuaded to support them.
I am considering advocating for using the term ‘Ashkenazi nationalism’ and ‘nationalist’ in place of Zionism/zionist whenever possible. Is this totally out of line? What do you think?

I love that quote, Don.
Best to you; drive on!

That's why I keep quoting the poet Diane DiPrima! "The only war that matters is the war for the imagination ... all other wars are subsumed in it."

Thanks for noting the European regime changes or policy shifts from the right wing to the right wing. Sort of like we do it here.
