It seems you certainly do have an axe to grind but it is your right to disagree with my opinion. The Washington Post is not the only publication which had said similar things about Greenwald.
I thought he was absolutely correct to leave the Intercept even though he helped found it. I thought it showed great integrity and it cost him to do it.
I think he is as objective on the issues as we are likely to find in any media.
“ It all ended badly last October when Glenn Greenwald, the pugnacious, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, quit the investigative news site he had co-founded six years earlier. Greenwald left the Intercept with a parting shot, publicly accusing the publication of “censoring” an article he wrote about media silence surrounding allegations of corruption by then-candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.”
that is nonsense and typical of the TDS that has prevailed in this country to such an extent that people cannot even see both sides of an issue.
The Washington Post is a partisan rag that is controlled by and speaks for the security state.
Anyone who quotes it is seriously afflicted with Trump Derangement syndrome and are blind to what is real objectivity just as the Intercept chose to be when it refused to public Greenwald's piece...which was excellent, BTW.
Glenn Greenwald is better than that and better than this comment by huge magnitudes and it is a bitter shame that Americans don't appreciate objectivity when they see it.... but that is the product of the sickness of our system and why it will never get better in our lifetimes as long the corruption and dysfunctional party partisanship continues to hold sway.
A pox on both parties. I have no ax to grind here but I know when we are being manipulated by the security state.
Sadly, it is working far too well, and we seem to be short on critical thinkers. That is why Glenn Greenwald is such a treasure. He is a brilliant man who cuts through the propaganda and doesn't dull his sharp criticism to make an easy sell it to anyone.
Shame on you for quoting such a partisan/security state rag to demean one of the greatest journalists of our age.

thanks for doing this, Richard. I just couldn't bring myself to go through that experience even with Glenn Greenwald whom I admire greatly.
Your comments were much more palatable than actually seeing and hearing these scurrilous scumbags.
Happy Belated Birthday, BTW. I am glad you spared yourself this trainwreck on your special day.
I agree except regarding Glenn Greenwald who had a shining moment of glory and then did a 180 degree pivot & is now an enemy of the people.
how so?

From his original interest in posting Hunter Biden stories he has gone on to becoming practically MAGA himself & quite nasty in the bargain.
He is no longer a warrior for justice, but another writer stirring up controversy to have a paid following. His admirers are not the people I admire.

I disagree about his objectivity.
